Since 1965, the Head of Charles regatta has brought rowing enthusiasts from around the country to participate in a spectacular two-day competition that, in the past, has drawn over 9,000 athletes and 300,000 spectators. Come take part in a celebrated New England tradition, one that packs exceptional food, merchandise, rowing expos and other events onto banks of the Charles River. This year's race will take place October 19 and 20.
Viewing the Charles Regatta
Premier viewing of the rowing events are at the Eliot Bridge Enclosure. Tickets include morning coffee, a gourmet lunch and premier river views. However, the most popular viewing spot is the river banks along the Weld Exhibition Center, where local food and free sample tents abound. For clubs, alumni groups, parents and boosters who want to reserve a place to convene, eat and chat in between races, reserve a spot at the Reunion Village.
