It began in 1926 with one boat and one captain providing 30-minute rides on the Charles River for a whopping 10 cents. Today, Boston Harbor Cruises is doing a whole lot more and with a lot more boats and crew members. Boston Harbor Cruises features 44 vessels and make over 300 weekday trips during the summer to destinations like Boston Harbor Islands and Provincetown. Enjoy fun sightseeing tours, whale watching cruises and water taxi service.

Does Boston Harbor Cruises offer packages?
They do and they’re quite extensive. Packages feature everything you’ll need for your special event. You’ll have your very own private boat, captain and crew, and wait staff. Also included are food and drink, all tax and service fees, and a sightseeing surcharge from the City of Boston. You pay one price with no surprise extra charges. All guests are invited to come aboard half-an-hour prior to your cruise time.
Where do the water taxis go?
These aquatic vessels go pretty much everywhere. Boston Harbor Cruises’ water taxis can take you to Logan Airport, conventions, business meetings, and dinner dates. What’s more, water taxis also provide sightseeing services. And they’re not just a summertime convenience. The taxis are covered and heated during the winter months so you can take one any day of the year.
